Bachelor of Arts in Christian School Education

Professor Douglas Graham, Christian School Education Program Director

It is a joy to be among children, the most precious of God’s creation. As a program director, professor, and advisor, it is exciting to be part of a community of young men and women whose passion is the call to teach. If this is your dream, you are welcome here!

bbmerThis program is designed to equip prospective teachers with the knowledge and skills required for today’s elementary school classrooms. Building on an excellent foundation of teaching theory and methodology, the program engages students in practical hands-on experiences while providing opportunities to work with children in nearby schools.

In addition, students spend fourteen weeks observing and teaching in Christian schools. The components of the Christian School Education Program meet the requirements for teacher certification with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Students who graduate with a degree in Christian School Education have the ability to plan lessons, teach productively, and demonstrate effective elementary school classroom management techniques. They also model a life of maturing Christian faith while ministering God’s love. Having completed this program, students are well prepared to teach, or to pursue further education in the field of teaching.

Career opportunities open to Kingswood University Christian School Education graduates include:

  • teaching and assisting in Christian schools world-wide,
  • working with children and youth in churches and camps,

  • exercising leadership opportunities within the community.
