Foundations of Leadership & Purpose

I. Principles of Ethical Leadership & Management

EThis course examines the theory and practice of leadership and management through a Christian ethical framework. Students will explore moral reasoning, decision-making, and character formation as essential components of effective leadership. Topics include values-driven management, servant leadership, organizational ethics, and the integration of faith in professional practice. Emphasis is placed on cultivating integrity, discernment, and accountability in leading teams and organizations, with attention to legal and ethical responsibilities within governance and compliance. II. Organizational Behaviour & Human Resources

EThis course explores the dynamics of human behaviour within organizations and the strategic management of people as a vital resource for mission success. Students will examine motivation, communication, team development, conflict resolution, and organizational culture through both contemporary theory and a Christian understanding of human dignity and stewardship. Whether you’re a full-time professional, ministry leader, or entrepreneur, the flexible online format makes it possible to pursue your degree without uprooting your life. Occasional live sessions and community connections help keep the experience personal and engaging.

How long does it take to finish?

That depends on your pace! Students who follow the full-time track will finish in one year. If you prefer to balance your studies with work or family, the part-time path takes two years. Either way, the program is designed to keep you moving forward steadily, one to two course at a time.

What is the Business as Mission capstone?

This is the heart of the Kingswood MBA. The Business as Mission Capstone is where everything comes together — your business training, leadership development, and faith integration. You’ll design or consult on a real-world venture that demonstrates business excellence and creates meaningful, Kingdom-minded impact. It’s more than an assignment; it’s a launchpad for purpose-driven leadership.

What is the cost of the MBA program?

The program is competitively priced at $1,200 per 3-credit course. With twelve 3-credit-hour courses in total and a $170 Graduation Fee, the full degree investment is approximately $14,570. We’ve intentionally kept the cost low to make high-quality, faith-based business education accessible to more students.

What is the program format like?

You’ll move through the program in a cohort model, meaning you’ll learn alongside the same group of peers from start to finish. Courses are taken two at a time in a structured sequence, so you can stay focused and actually absorb what you’re learning. There are three convenient start dates each year — Fall, Winter, and Spring — so you can begin when it fits best for you.

Are scholarships or financial aid available?

At this time, no institutional scholarships or grants are available for the MBA. Our goal is to keep tuition as affordable as possible so every student can access the program without hidden costs.

What will my graduation look like?

Even though the MBA is fully online, your graduation doesn’t have to be. Graduates are invited to come to Sussex, New Brunswick and walk across the stage of the beautiful Saunders Irving Chapel to receive their diploma in person. It’s a meaningful opportunity to celebrate your hard work, meet faculty and classmates face-to-face, and mark this milestone with friends and family on campus.
