Encounter 2023 came to a close on the evening of November 4th, but the powerful worship times and the meaningful messages by Rev. Zach Coffin will not be soon forgotten.
This video was taken of a particularly powerful moment from the closing rally when technical difficulties turned into a reminder of the heart behind true worship. Lights and music and hype songs are a fun and powerful way to worship God. But even without all of these, true wholehearted worship is just as profound and meaningful, and that’s what brings us closer to God.
Kelsey Norris, one of the worship leaders from the weekend and a 3rd year Kingswood student, said, “Something happened to our soundboard in the middle of a song. But God turned something stressful into something that I will cherish forever! Around 340 people singing even with no mics, guitars, or pianos working. I was overwhelmed by love and emotions! Thank you God for that reminder. No matter what, you are praised! What a way to end the weekend!”
