Professor Sprague spent nearly 15 years in the workforce before entering vocational ministry. He worked in various environments, such as the Royal Canadian Air Force, Parks Canada, and Canada Post. He also used to be actively involved in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), indulging in his love of history and playing pretend. Through these experiences, he met a wide variety of people and learned a great deal about varying worldviews, behaviours, and perspectives. Many that oppose the Christian worldview that he grew up with.

He discovered that he was not prepared for these encounters and struggled with his faith in his twenties. He does not wish for others to experience the same thing. He has developed a passion for apologetics and discipling the younger generations, helping prepare them for the future. Professor Sprague and his wife have opened up their home in the past on weekends to give teens a place to go. Professor Sprague volunteers with Ratio Christi Canada, an evangelism and apologetics ministry dedicated to helping teens and young adults learn to understand, defend, and share their faith.

Professor Sprague now serves as Senior Pastor at Uplands Baptist Church in Moncton, as well as Director of Student Life and Program Director of NextGen Ministry at Kingswood University.

Professor Sprague loves stories, including writing his own, and he has had the privilege of having a short story published in an anthology.

In his spare time, he likes to play board games, paint miniatures, craft, and work in his leather shop (not all at the same time).
