Very soon our students will be getting ready to scatter across North America for their Christmas break. From all accounts, it has been a great semester!
Students have learned much, both in and out of class. In my conversations with students, they continually remind me of how blessed we are to have such godly, knowledgeable, and committed faculty.
Chapels have be
en enriching experiences of God’s presence, with powerful worship and great speakers like Jeff Eckert, Miles Welch, Carole Hamm, and Pete Benson. The spirit of Christ-like community on campus is unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere.
We enjoyed a wonderful vision tour of the Maritimes with a delightful group of Kingswood’s friends and supporters. When we weren’t eating or laughing, we were gazing wide-eyed at the magnificent beauty of this area. I can hardly wait for next year’s trip to Newfoundland (September 24 to October 2).
We’ve experienced sadness, as we remembered one of our students Matthew Pass who unexpectedly stepped into eternity last summer while on his internship. We also celebrated by dedicating our new Benson Athletic Complex. These new fields will enrich our campus for years to come.
This semester we have begun to dream about significant changes, such as the possibility of a new campus entrance as well as a new dining hall and student centre. I’ll share more with you about these possibilities in the months to come.
On numerous occasions this semester, Kingswood students have fanned out across our province and even out of the country to engage in eternally significant ministry in Christ’s name. Our unique curriculum makes this combination of academic endeavor and practical ministry experience something every student enjoys each semester.
Such things are only possible because of your prayers and financial support. Thank you. Please join me in praying for a safe and blessed holiday for our Kingswood community and for another great semester in the spring.
Have a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And thanks again.
