Peter (B.A. ’04, M.A. ’15) & Cathy (Boyd) Hayes
This spring Peter and Cathy were appointed as missionaries to Cambodia with Global Partners of The Wesleyan Church. Last month they made an initial trip to learn more about their future ministry and life. As they explored the city of Phnom Penh and nearby villages, they met new friends, worshipped with an international church fellowship, investigated school options for their children, and enjoyed some traditional Cambodian food. Since July 2013, Peter has served as Assistant Pastor of Crosspoint Wesleyan Church in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He and Cathy have six children.
Nathaniel (’06) & Jessica (Tot ‘06) Weaver
Nate and Jess, along with their three children, Mateo, Amira, and Malakai, arrived in Papua New Guinea on May 15 to begin missionary service with Wycliffe. After their in-country orientation studies, the Weavers will move to Ukarumpa where Nate will serve in the language resources department, assisting with literacy and other language needs. Jess will assist in the ministry area of short term missions. “The beauty here is absolutely stunning,” wrote Jess. “I can’t believe this is our home!”
Brent (’06) & Melanie (Brewer FS ’97) Ingersoll
Congratulations to Brent and Melanie on the birth of Alexander David, who was born on April 30, weighing 8 pounds and 8.75 ounces. Brent and Melanie also have a daughter, named Ava (2008), and a son, named Aden (2010). Brent serves as Lead Pastor of Kings Valley Wesleyan Church in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
Daniel (B.A. ’13, M.A. ’15) & Katherine (Keever ‘13) Young
Congratulations to Dan and Katie on the birth of their first child. Russell Alan was born May 19, weighing 9 pounds, 1.25 ounces. Dan is Assistant Pastor of First Wesleyan Church in Saint John, New Brunswick, where Katie is actively involved in the worship ministry.
Joey (’15) & Lauren (Kerr ‘15) Millington
Congratulations to Joey and Lauren who were married on May 15 at the St. James Anglican Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Rev. Scott Rhyno, Vice President of Enrolment and Communications at Kingswood, officiated the ceremony. In July, Joey will begin serving New Hope Wesleyan Church in Kentville, Nova Scotia, as the Youth Pastor, and Lauren will become the Children’s Pastor. Scott Prime (‘92) is the Lead Pastor and Jedie Elliott (B.A.’13, M.A. ’14) is the Assistant Pastor.
Bradford (B.A. ’15) & Ashlee (Nickerson A.A. ’15) Rogers
Congratulations to Bradford and Ashlee who were married on May 16 in the Saunders Irving Chapel at Kingswood University. The couple, and their son Brayden, will work with Moe (‘95) and Melissa Diggs in the ministry at Healing Place Church (Wesleyan) in Waldorf, Maryland. Moe, who officiated the Rogers’ wedding, is the Lead Pastor. Ashlee is the daughter of Darlene (Ricker ‘82) Perreault and the granddaughter of Rev. Hazen Ricker (’56). (Photo taken by Shawn Ricker)
