Scholarship Giving

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. – Matthew 6:19-20

Investing in Our Students

Kingswood University strives to give students the opportunity to graduate with as little debt as possible. By providing scholarships to our students, you are enabling them to answer God’s call by obtaining a quality, biblically-sound education, with fewer financial restrictions.

Many have chosen to set up scholarships to remember or honour a loved one, to support a student in a particular program of study, or to encourage a student to exemplify Christ-like character while achieving academic excellence in their studies.

Each scholarship is unique and personal. It will reflect you the giver and become an extension of yourself as you support our students studying for full-time Christian service. It will be more than just a scholarship but rather an eternal investment in advancing the Kingdom of God.

Give a One-Time Scholarship

  • By donating a suggested minimum of $500, you may set up a single year scholarship for a student.
  • Our Department of Donor Engagement will then assist you in establishing the criteria to be awarded for your scholarship (ex. student’s year, program, need, character, and/or merit).
  • If you wish, you may choose to renew this scholarship annually with additional donations.

Create a Recurring Scholarship Fund

You may give a monthly or an annual amount to establish a scholarship fund. A portion of this amount will go directly toward a recurring scholarship. The remainder will build your fund toward a point where interest alone is sufficient to cover the scholarship.

For example: If you give as little as $1,200 per year ($100 per month), you can create a scholarship fund with a recurring scholarship of $500. The first scholarship would be awarded the year you establish your fund. When your scholarship fund reaches $13,000, an interest rate of 4% will generate enough interest to provide a $500 scholarship each year without a further contribution from you.

Once your scholarship fund reaches the $13,000 level, you may continue to add to it so your recurring scholarship will increase. Or you may start a new scholarship fund.

You may also give a one-time donation to establish a scholarship fund. With your one-time donation of the following amounts at 4% interest, your recurring scholarship will make a huge difference to a student. You can add to your scholarship fund at any time, thus speeding up the process.
