Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies

"Becoming a Student of the Word"

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)

The A.A. (Biblical Studies) degree is designed for students who desire a quality education, practical ministry experience, and a strong spiritual environment who do not wish to pursue a ministry-focused degree. It will be of special interest to those who wish to deepen their knowledge of and appreciation for the Bible and theology, including lay people in local churches.

It may also be of value to those who already have an undergraduate degree who wish to enrol in Kingswood’s Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology but who do not have the necessary prerequisites or the dual enrolment courses.

As part of learning in a Christian community, you will participate in Pulse and Chapel, two essential and integral components of what makes Kingswood so unique. APPLY NOW!

Objectives

Graduates will:

  • be enriched through intensive study of scripture and its application in ministry, including lay ministry;
  • be strengthened in their faith through study of scripture and theology, as well as Christian disciplines;
  • demonstrate an understanding of, and appreciation for the basic doctrines of the Christian faith and articulate them clearly.

"If you have an insatiable hunger for Scripture, a hunger that can't be satisfied unless you're digging deep and discovering timeless truths, this program is for you. It provides the academic knowledge and skills you'll need to help you understand the Bible, but will also help you apply it. You'll also be challenged to be the kind of person who lives what they've learned."
