David (FS ’89) Presley & Amy Elliott (Presley)

In August, David, Amy, and their two children (ages 1 & 3) moved to Bruce Mines, Ontario. David began serving the Lighthouse Community Wesleyan Church as Senior Pastor on September 1.

Rob (’91) & Vallerie (Craig ’93) MacCallum

This summer (July 23-August 5), Rob and his daughter, Brooke (age 14), traveled to Ukraine and helped with the construction of Hope House 2. This ministry of World Hope International (Canada and Ukraine) works with teen girls who have been abandoned and are targets for the street-life or sex trade. As part of their family discipleship plan, Rob and Vallerie are providing an international experience for each of their children at about the age of 14. In earlier years, Rob took sons, Caleb (now 18) and Daniel (now 16) to Ukraine as well. Caleb has also been to Haiti. “The relational time of doing the trip and the time to talk about many things have been key in our continuing relationship over the critical teen years,” said Rob. Their youngest, Nathan (age 11), is already anticipating his global experience.

In 2006, Rob first came to Sussex Wesleyan Church (New Brunswick) in 2006 to serve as Associate Pastor. Two years later he became the Senior Pastor and has been leading the congregation for five years. Vallerie is a teacher at the Sussex Christian School, a ministry of the church.

Richard (’07) & Tonya Cox

Richard and Tonya became parents for the second time on September 10 with the birth of their daughter, Allison Lee. She weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces. Congratulations! Richard is a church planter and Tonya, who is on maternity leave from her career in nursing, is a stay-at-home mom to Allison and their son, Caleb (age 2). They live in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

A few weeks after Allison’s birth, Richard and Tonya celebrated the launching of Overflow Church. On opening day, they had 111 in attendance and three people indicated on their connections cards that they would like to accept Christ.

Richard writes, “As I reflected on who was there I realized that half were people Tonya and I have gotten to know over the last year. The other half included new people who had come to one of our outreach events over the last year…That was a simple reminder that when we are planting seed we never know how it’s affecting people. We must continue planting and preparing for a harvest, realizing that it is God who brings new life!”
