Program Director and Associate Professor of Youth Ministry
During his decade of pastoral ministry before coming to Kingswood University, Brent Dongell directed youth/young adult ministries in a variety of churches and served as a missionary in New Zealand (for two years).
He also wrote The Hard Twenty Somethings: Not Alone in the Unknown, addressing unexpected lessons that "twenty somethings" face.
What Professor Dongell brings to Kingswood is a heart to go deep with students and see them grow as well-rounded ministers.
I love wrestling through God’s Word with today’s Kingswood student as they encounter life. I want to see students as solid Christians sold out for their faith, no matter what their career path may end up looking like.
He values creative and inspiring environments and even unorthodoxed ways of learning beyond the typical lecture format of a classroom.
Professor Dongell loves a new challenge whether it is running a marathon, surfing in different parts of the world, or playing any kind of sport he can get his hands on. In 2014, God merged Brent’s life story with Natasha’s as they became a family, along with her two girls, Roya (8) and Alea (7).
